CAL - What a way to start the tasting! Bad Boy Burgers really never disappoints. They always have a treat for my dogs so I love them already, but these onion rings are top shelf. The batter is a good mix of crumbs and batter. The onions are thick and substantial with the perfect texture combination of crunch and softness. The portion? Fuhgetaboutit! So many onion rings!!! Not to mention a damn near steal at $4.49 a pop. Paired with a BLT in a lettuce wrap and a Pepsi Spin. Chef's kiss. 5 rings for me!
DAN - Crumbly coating, good crunch, almost a bit chewy. Onion slices good, though I wouldn't have minded them being just a bit thicker. The coating could have used a bit of seasoning, though some added salt helped a lot. The quantity was very generous; they only have one size, but this was definitely a "large." Cooked well, nothing burnt, nothing soggy. Overall an excellent start to this journey! I give these 4 rings.

CAL - Presentation is a 10! I'm a sucker for a good onion ring tower; I even like that the rings were askew, reminiscent of ye old 'there was a crooked man' children's rhyme. They were sprinkled with what I thought was salt (huge plus!) but turns out it was Parmesan cheese. I love cheese of any kind but I wasn't a fan of it on onion rings. The batter was crispy but lacked flavor. The onions were thinly sliced and we all know this girl enjoys a girthy onion ring. The onion should be the star of this show after all right? The ranch dipping sauce was fantastic. I prefer the bread crumb/Pablo coating but we finished the order and they hit the onion ring spot for the night. I give them a solid 3.
DAN - $12.99 is WAY too expensive for these. Beer-batter coating, rather than a crumbly coating. The batter was crispier than I've experienced with other beer-battered rings, and seemed somewhat seasoned. They were sprinkled with parmesan, which I'm not sure I even detected in flavor; salt would have been better. I dunno about the stack/tower. I feel like it might cool faster than a basket. And there's something nostalgic about a basket.... I'm going with a 3 rating.
